Bihar independent MLA Anant Singh, who went missing from his residence as police reached there to arrest him, has now released a video on Sunday night saying he will surrender in front of the court in next 3-4 days.
In the video, the Bahubali leader said that he did not flee due to the fear of being arrested. He went to a place to see his ailing friend. However, he added that he will surrender in less than four days.
Anant Singh went missing from his Patna residence as police reached there to arrest him following the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, 22 live cartridges, and two bombs from his ancestral house in Mokama on Friday.
An AK-47 rifle was recovered from the ancestral house of controversial Bihar MLA Anant Singh on Friday during a raid which also yielded a large number of ammunition and explosives.
Singh, in the video, also claimed that the recovery of AK-47 from his house is a conspiracy by the police.
“I have not visited my paternal house in last 14 years. So there is no question of hiding AK-47 there,” he said in the end defending himself. Anant Singh accused Additional SP Lipi Singh of conspiring against him.
An FIR was registered against him under the newly formed Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The police, however, arrested Chuttan alias Sunil Singh who is a close aide of the legislator and an accused in an attempt to murder case and was present at the residence.
Patna (Rural) SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra and Additional SP Lipi Singh on Friday conducted a day-long raid at Anant Singh’s home in Ladma village and recovered an assembled AK-47, 22 live cartridges and two bombs.
