RANCHI. Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) organized its Second Ash User Meet 2026 at Ranchi on July 18, 2026, under the theme “A Resilient Journey of Transformation from Waste to Wealth.” Welcomed by CEO Shri A. K. Sehgal and CGM (O&M) Shri Manish Khetrapal, the event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and ash users. Highlighting fly ash as a key resource for sustainable infrastructure, CEO Shri A. K. Sehgal outlined PVUNL’s eco-friendly initiatives, including dry bottom ash handling, water-conserving Air-Cooled Condenser (ACC) technology, rare earth mineral research, and skill training for Self-Help Groups to produce fly ash products.
The prominent dignitaries, including Shri Aboobacker Siddique P. (IAS, Secretary, Govt. of Jharkhand) and Shri V. Suresh (Chairman, NBC), were joined by representatives from HUDCO, CPWD, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, CSIR-CIMFR, and Indian Railways. To mark the occasion, a souvenir on sustainable ash utilization was released, and delegates received eco-friendly fly ash mementos. Technical sessions explored scientific innovations, sustainable construction, and carbon market opportunities, concluding with a shared commitment to turn industrial waste into valuable wealth through technology and strategic collaboration.
