Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to establish a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing India’s maritime infrastructure and energy supply chain.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening India’s global maritime presence, a key focus area of the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047 set by the Government of India.
During the signing of the MoU, G. Krishnakumar, Chairman & Managing Director, BPCL, said, “Our partnership with SCI is a step towards building a world-class shipping ecosystem that supports India’s growing energy needs. By working together, we aim to create a dedicated, efficient, and future-ready maritime infrastructure that will strengthen our supply chain and contribute to India’s position as a global maritime leader. This collaboration is aligned with the Government of India’s vision for self-reliance and energy security.”
