NEW DELHI. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) have signed an MoU to train youth in key areas of aviation, including Aviation Engineering and Management. The agreement aims to build a skilled workforce for the future, with senior officials from DGCA, GSV, Civil Aviation Ministry, and Railways participating in the ceremony.
Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu emphasized that this partnership will transform the aviation sector by creating a strong manufacturing ecosystem and expanding Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities, which have grown significantly in recent years. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted GSV’s reputation and called for establishing a centre of excellence in precision manufacturing to support India’s vision of Viksit Bharat.
