Ms. Sangeeta Kaushik, Executive Director (Corporate Planning), NTPC Limited, addressed the 19th India Energy Summit organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce, where she highlighted NTPC’s accelerated decarbonisation efforts driven by innovation. She outlined how NTPC has transitioned from working with the molecule—using coal to generate electricity—to advancing technologies that convert electrons into green molecules, marking a significant shift toward sustainable energy pathways.

She elaborated on NTPC’s ongoing initiatives to produce a range of green chemicals, including green hydrogen, hydrogen derivatives, ammonia, methanol, ethanol, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and urea, supported by carbon capture from flue gases. Ms. Kaushik emphasised that these initiatives reflect NTPC’s commitment to creating a future-ready energy ecosystem and supporting India’s broader clean energy and Net Zero ambitions.
