NEW DELHI. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya lauded the efforts of ISKCON for starting a drug-free initiative across the country. Speaking to the media after attending the Udgaar Youth Festival organised by ISKCON in New Delhi, he said that under this initiative, more than 15000 youths have pledged to be drug-free. The Minister said this program aims to make lakhs of people in the country drug-free and incorporate them into the ‘Viksit Bharat’ campaign.
ISKCON has launched a nationwide movement called UDGAAR “Nashamukt Yuva, Sanskaryukt Bharat.” This campaign aims to protect 15 lakh youth from the grip of addiction by reconnecting them with India’s spiritual heritage and cultural wisdom.
