Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) showcased its robust performance and strategic vision at the 53rd AGM held virtually in New Delhi. Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Amarendu Prakash, emphasized the company’s resilience amid global challenges and its commitment to nation-building, highlighting SAIL’s integral role in sectors like infrastructure, railways, defense, and energy. He reaffirmed SAIL’s alignment with India’s goal of becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047, focusing on technological innovation, digitalization, and customer-centric solutions to propel future growth.
SAIL’s dedication to sustainability was a key highlight, with Shri Prakash outlining initiatives such as hydrogen-based steelmaking, CCUS, biochar injection, and renewable energy projects. These efforts position the company at the forefront of the industry’s green transition, addressing climate change challenges while advancing environmentally responsible steel production. The AGM also announced two transformative programs—PRAVARTANAM for digital transformation and SAIL DARPAN for HR modernization—aimed at building a resilient, self-sustaining ecosystem across SAIL’s facilities.
