Plant level CII Supervisory Skill Competition was organised on 20th May, 2025 at the Learning & Development Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant. The competition was conducted in two categories namely Operations & Production (O & P) and Repairs & Maintenance (R & M). One team in each category qualified to represent RSP in the 25th CII National Supervisory Skills Competition to be organised later this month. In O & P category, the Coke Ovens team comprising Mr. Kulamani Sahoo, Mr. Deepak Kumar Dey and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Sahoo emerged winners while in the R & M category, the Blast Furnaces team comprising Mr. Santosh Kumar Ray, Mr. Sushant Kumar Swain and Mr. Deepak Kumar Das was the winner.
Mr. S K Polaki, GM In-Charge (CEM), Mr. S Panka, GM In-Charge (CMM) and Mr. KK Jaiswal, DGM (HR-L&D) were the judges of the plant level competition. The competition was coordinated by Mr. S K Sukula, Deputy Manager (HR-L&D)
It is noteworthy that the Supervisory Skills Competition is a flagship event organized by CII Eastern Region for inspiring and motivating industrial supervisors who are the most important link between management and the workers. The competition aims to recognize and reward supervisors who excel in their roles, fostering a culture of skill development and achievement.
