In a move to further enhance passenger convenience, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) today unveiled its mobile application ‘Delhi Metro Rail’ in Hindi. This application was till now available only in English. This facility is a testament to Delhi Metro’s commitment towards “Digital India”, which aims to make government services available electronically along with developed online infrastructure.
Smt. Anshuli Arya (IAS), Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, launched the Hindi version of the state-of-the-art mobile app of ‘Delhi Metro Rail’ from the Auditorium at Metro Bhawan, which serves as a digital platform for the services of Delhi Metro. This is an important achievement for the users. It may be noted that DMRC’s website (www.delhimetrorail.com) is already available in English as well as Hindi language.
This Hindi mobile application was launched today by Smt. Arya on the occasion of conclusion of ‘Hindi Pakhwada’. Under this, several competitions were organized for DMRC employees to encourage progressive use of Hindi. The winners of these various competitions were awarded prizes by Chief Guest Mrs. Arya in the presence of DMRC Managing Director Dr. Vikas Kumar.
