Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) welcomed a new batch of 13 Management Trainees (Technical) (MTT) for the year 2025, who joined the plant on 22nd March 2025 after completing their central induction at Bhilai Steel Plant. Recruited through the GATE examination, these young engineers from various disciplines will undergo structured training to enhance their technical and managerial competencies, preparing them for key roles within the organization.
Mr. Alok Verma, Director In-Charge, RSP, interacted with the new recruits at a welcome session organized in the Manthan Conference Hall of the DIC Secretariat. The event was attended by Mr. Tarun Misra, Executive Director (HR), and Mr. P. K. Sahoo, Chief General Manager (HR-L&D) and other Senior Executives.
Addressing the young professionals, Mr. Verma shared his insights and personal experiences, encouraging them to embrace innovation in the steel sector and contribute fresh ideas to the organization. He urged them to leverage the vast opportunities provided by SAIL, a Maharatna company and play an active role in its growth.
Mr. Misra highlighted the various facilities and benefits extended to employees, including accommodation, medical support, and other social security measures, ensuring a conducive work environment for their professional and personal development.
Notably, the one-year plant-level induction training will include a structured curriculum consisting of a one-month classroom session, followed by two months of plant familiarization, and the remaining duration dedicated to hands-on training at their designated postings. The entire training program is being meticulously coordinated by the Learning and Development Department of RSP.
