Workshop on Financial Planning THRIFTY @ FIFTY held at SAIL RSP

SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) organized a comprehensive workshop titled THRIFTY @ FIFTY on 17th December 2024, aimed at assisting employees aged 50 and above with their pre and post retirement financial security planning. Dr. P K Sahu, GM I/c (HR-CF) presided over the inaugural function. It was attended by 24 employees including executives across the plant.

The half-day workshop was designed to help participants plan their financial futures well before reaching retirement age, providing a structured approach to financial management.

The session on Investment and Income Tax Awareness was conducted by Mr. K.K. Verma, DGM (F&A), who provided essential guidance on managing investments and understanding tax implications.

Representatives from financial institutions such as SBI, ICICI, India Post, HDFC and IDFC offered detailed presentations on their various financial products addressing participants’ needs and queries.

The question answer session allowed employees to seek clarification on their financial planning concerns and receive personalized advice.

The valedictory function was attended by Mr. R K Verma, GM (HR- ER, C, HA & Airport) and Mr. K K Verma, and feedback from participants were taken. The program was much appreciated by all the participants.

Mr. K K Verma, and Ms. Jyoti Oreya, AGM (HR-ER &C) coordinated the programme.
