In life, you have to protect your identity & status. Sometimes we get proud of this, specially if our lives have some glorious achievements. We often attribute our success to our intelligence, & skills. This gives us a superiority complex. We look down on other people. Arrogance gets built into us. Our ego gets bloated.
But there is 1 factor which can destroy our self admiration. It will make us nothing. Everything that we have achieved will appear worthless. That event is called death. Death will destroy our ego as our individual identity gets destroyed as we merge with the universal identity. We no more are separate as now we have merged. There is no identity, ego. It stands destroyed.
Death is the ultimate lesson in humility !
