Wishes and Blessings Hosts National Dialogue on Reimagining Humanity in the Digital Era on World Human Rights Day

NGO convenes experts and honours 10 changemakers with the WB Ambassador of Humanity Awards 2025

New Delhi, 12 December 2025: Wishes and Blessings, a Delhi-based registered NGO dedicated to inclusive social development, marked World Human Rights Day by hosting a comprehensive and forward-looking national dialogue on “Reimagining Humanity in the Digital Age” at the Triveni Kala Sangam Auditorium, New Delhi, in association with The Logical Indian. The event brought together influential voices from academia, research, media, digital rights and the social sector to examine how emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence are reshaping human behaviour, interpersonal connection and society’s evolving understanding of humanity.

The panel featured Mr Abhishek Mazumdar (Co-Founder, The Logical Indian), Ms Akanksha Ahluwalia (Lead, Media, Action and Awareness Programme, Digital Empowerment Foundation), Dr Geetanjali Chopra (Founder and President, Wishes and Blessings), Dr. Pavan Duggal (Advocate Supreme Court) and Dr Rakhi Tripathi (Professor and Area Chair, FORE School of Management). The session was moderated by Mr Rishabh Gulati, Editor-in-Chief, NewsX.

Across a series of thought-provoking exchanges, the speakers explored pressing questions around digital ethics, privacy, human agency and the growing tension between technological efficiency and emotional connection. The panel discussion emphasised on how the digital era has enhanced humanity. There has been a spurt in digitisation since covid and we saw people reconnecting to help each other through digital channels. We also saw a lot of changes happening on a real time basis and then we saw a lot of villages that were outside the coverage of the internet coming in the ambit of digital connectivity and this has surely impacted the society.

The session attracted significant participation from students, young professionals and youth delegates representing leading institutions. Their questions added depth to the conversation, highlighting generational concerns in an increasingly digital world.

Following the discussion, Wishes and Blessings in association with The Logical Indian hosted the WB Ambassador of Humanity Awards 2025 ceremony. These awards were established to celebrate individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to uplifting communities through sustained, selfless and high-impact work.

This year, national submissions underwent a structured three-stage evaluation process. In Stage One, all applications were screened for eligibility and impact potential. In Stage Two, twenty-five shortlisted candidates participated in one-to-one conversations to assess the depth, sustainability and authenticity of their initiatives. Stage Three consisted of an independent jury review conducted by a four-member panel — Dr Shylashri Shankar (Senior Fellow, CPR), Dr Indu Prakash Singh (Social Activist), Mr Al Arafat Sherfuddeen (President, The Logical Indian) and Dr Geetanjali Chopra (Founder and President, Wishes and Blessings). Following this impartial, merit-based process — conducted without any fee or cost to applicants — ten changemakers were selected for the WB Ambassador of Humanity Awards 2025.

The award recipients were:

Ms. Anitha – Recognised for her compassionate work in supporting underprivileged communities through education assistance and impactful social-awareness initiatives.

Ms. Diksha Chourasia – Honoured for her meaningful contributions to child protection, women’s health, rural development and youth empowerment, positively impacting thousands through community-focused initiatives.

Dr. Manish Jain – Awarded for his pioneering work in empowering the transgender community through dignified employment and nationwide inclusion initiatives at Kineer Services.

Congratulating the awardees, Dr Chopra, Founder and President of Wishes and Blessings, said, “Each of today’s recipients represents an unwavering commitment to humanity. Their efforts at the grassroots remind us that compassion, courage and community spirit remain the cornerstones of meaningful social transformation. We are honoured to celebrate their journeys and amplify their impact.”

She also extended her appreciation to the jury, panelists, moderator and attendees for contributing to an insightful, reflective and solution-oriented World Human Rights Day programme.

The event reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to fostering informed dialogue on contemporary social challenges while recognising individuals who embody the values of dignity, equity and service.
