Winners of the Safety Quiz competition held for contract workers were awarded at a function organised in the conference hall of Roll Shop Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 18th October 2024. Mr. S R Mohaptra, GM In-charge (Roll Shop) presided over the function and handed over the awards to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners and consolation prizes to the rest of the contract labourers who participated in the competition. Present on the occasion were Mr. M K Muduli, GM (Roll Shop), Mr. J C Lakra, GM (Roll Shop) and other Officers of the Department. In all 17 contract labourers took part in the event.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mohapatra commended the winners of the competition and highlighted the advantage of conducting such competitions which reinforces the learning and internalisation process.
During the function each of the dignitaries including the Safety Officers spoke on various aspects of Safety and Behavioural safety needed to strengthen the safety culture within the organisation.
The programme was jointly coordinated by Mr. A K Mohapatra, DGM (Roll Shop) and DSO and Mr. C S Behera, Deputy Manager (SED) and Area Safety Officer.
