Vendors Meet organised at SAIL RSP

A vendors Meet was organised at the Materials Management Conference Hall of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on 1st November 2024 to mark the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2024. Mr. Anil Kumar, CGM In-Charge (MM), RSP chaired the session. Mr. Subrat Praharaj, CGM (Vigilance & ACVO), and other Senior Officers of MM and Vigilance Department were present on the occasion. Around 32 representatives of District Small Scale Industries Association (DSSIA), Odisha Young Entrepreneur’s Association (OYEA), Odisha Assembly of Small & Medium Enterprises(OASME) & Rourkela Chamber of Commerce & Industries(RCCI) attended the meet.

The event commenced with a detailed presentation by MM-Purchase officials, providing vendors with insights into the Vendor Registration Process, Procurement through GeM, and Tendering through SRM platform. Discussions were held to address various issues related to tendering, procurement, and vendor management.

Earlier, PIVD officials welcomed the vendors and provided an overview of the program, including details about the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, this year’s theme, and the process of taking the online vigilance pledge through the CVC portal.

The Vendors and the RSP officials took Vigilance Pledge during the meet. Mr. Aseem Apurv, DGM (MM) coordinated the programme and also proposed a formal vote of thanks.

The programme was organised by the Vigilance Department with the support of MM Department.   Ms. Susmita Tirkey, AGM (MM-Purchase) coordinated the programme.
