The quarter was marked by new production highs in aluminium, alumina, zinc, and pig iron, along with the successful commissioning of additional power capacity.

The company reported its highest-ever quarterly and half-yearly alumina production at 653 kt, a growth of 31% year-on-year, reflecting continued ramp-up and efficiency improvements at the Lanjigarh refinery. Aluminium production also set a new record at 617 kt for the quarter, supported by strong operational performance. Together, these achievements highlight Vedanta’s scale and execution in one of its most strategic verticals.

In Zinc India, mined metal production reached an all-time high for the second quarter at 258 kt, reaffirming the strength of underground operations. Zinc International also delivered a standout performance, with mined metal production of 60 kt, representing a 38% increase year-on-year, driven by higher volumes and grades.
