Shri Trailukya Borgohain has been appointed as the Director (Operations) of Oil India Limited (OIL) . With over three decades of experience in E&P operations, Borgohain joined OIL in 1995 as an Executive Trainee in the Geological Department, Borgohain has played a significant role in key oil and gas discoveries in Assam, Rajasthan, and Gabon. His tenure as General Manager and Head of OIL’s Gabon Exploration Project from 2017 to 2021 exemplifies his technical and leadership strengths.
Prior to his current role, he served as Chief General Manager (Geology & Reservoir) at OIL, where he led initiatives aimed at enhancing oil and gas field development in Upper Assam. Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Borgohain is actively involved with industry organizations, currently serving as Vice President of the Association of Petroleum Geologists (APG India) for 2023–25 and participating in organizing Geo India 2024. His membership in Delta-Mu-Delta, an honor society recognizing academic excellence, further reflects his commitment to his professional growth. With his extensive expertise, Borgohain is poised to drive operational excellence and support OIL’s strategic objectives in the E&P sector.
