The REC Foundation, the CSR arm of REC Ltd., has donated Rs.1.83 crore under its CSR initiative for procuring essential medical equipment at Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital (KKCTH), Chennai. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed at KKCTH by Smt. Thara Ramesh (Chief Program Manager, REC Ltd.) and Mr. S. Rengarajan (CEO, KKCTH), in the presence of Shri Narayanan Thirupathy (Independent Director, REC Ltd.) and Dr. Janani Sankar (Medical Director, KKCTH).
The funds will be used to acquire advanced biomedical equipment, including ICU ventilators, surgical laser and neonatal ICU warmers etc to ensure better patient outcomes, faster diagnosis and timely treatment.
