THDCIL signed a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Shrine Board of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra, J&K, and the Geological Survey of India to conduct Slope Stability Studies along the Yatra Route leading to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan in J&K.
The agreement, formalized at the Shrine Board’s Central Office, aims to enhance the long-term safety and resilience of the pilgrimage route through THDCIL’s expertise in slope stability analysis, geotechnical and geophysical investigations, and the design of advanced stability measures. The ceremony was attended by Sh. Anshul Garg (IAS), CEO of the Shrine Board, and Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel) of THDCIL, who noted the significance of this initiative and highlighted THDCIL’s role as the Technical Consultant for the Shrine Board since June 2011. Under this collaboration, the Geological Survey of India will conduct geological investigations along the route, while THDCIL will focus on geotechnical assessments and engineering state-of-the-art slope stabilization measures, ensuring the reliability and sustainability of the pilgrimage track.
