										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>SINGRAOULI.</strong> NLC India Limited (NLCIL), signed an MoU with the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), an apex training body under the Ministry of Power, on February 25, 2026, at Neyveli as part of its CSR initiative.</p>
<p>The agreement was signed by A.K.R. Saravanabhavan, Unit Head (Learning &amp; Development), NLCIL, and S. Amirthavalli, Director, NPTI, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.</p>
<p>The collaboration will offer a one-year, job-oriented Post-Diploma course in Power Plant Engineering for Project Affected Persons and unemployed youth of Cuddalore district, enhancing employability and supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.</p>

Formed in line with the Ministry of Mines’ recognition of IIT (ISM), Dhanbad as a Centre of Excellence under the National Critical Mineral Mission, the Committee brings together leading experts and senior executives from premier institutions and major mining organisations. Notably, Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NLC India Ltd., has been appointed as a Member, underscoring NLCIL’s expanding national role in strategic mineral exploration, sustainable mining practices, and long-term resource security. His extensive experience in the lignite and mining sector is expected to add significant value to the Committee’s mandate. Empowered to invite additional experts as needed, the Committee is tasked with submitting a comprehensive report within 12 months, highlighting NLCIL’s strengthened commitment to national resource development under the National Critical Mineral Mission.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>NLC India Limited (NLCIL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Madras for joint research and development on Carbon Capture Systems (CCS). The agreement was signed at IIT Madras in Chennai in the presence of Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLCIL; Dr. V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras; and M. Venkatachalam, Director (Power) of NLCIL. This partnership underscores NLCIL’s commitment to promoting sustainable power generation, especially in the thermal sector. The collaboration aims to develop laboratory-scale carbon capture technologies with the possibility of scaling up to pilot projects at NLCIL’s thermal power plants.</p>

Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLCIL hoisted the PSU flag and the NLCIL flag in the presence of Dr. Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines) and P&amp;P (Addl.Charge), Shri Samir Swarup, Director (HR), Shri M. Venkatachalam, Director (Power) and Thiru Appakannu Govindarajan, IPoS, CVO, NLCIL, senior officials, representatives of recognized Trade Unions, Engineers and Officers’ Associations, Welfare Associations, Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS) and employees.</p>
<p>The Public Sector Day is observed every year on 10th April, under the aegis of SCOPE (Standing Conference of Public Enterprises) &#8211; the apex professional body representing the Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), with the objective of creating awareness among the general public about the role and sustained contribution rendered by Central Public Sector Enterprises in scripting the ‘Growth Story’ of India.</p>
