Synergy Lok Sanskrutik Mahotsav organised at Lathikata Peripheral Block of SAIL, RSP

Thirty tribal dance troupes from different peripheral villages of Lathikata Block gathered at Khairbndh village on 4th January 2025 to participate in the Synergy Lok Sanskrutik Mahotsav, organised under the CSR initiative of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).

Thirty tribal dance troupes from different peripheral villages of Lathikata Block gathered at Khairbndh village on 4th January 2025 to participate in the Synergy Lok Sanskrutik Mahotsav, organised under the CSR initiative of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). Mr.  Anil Kumar, ED (MM) graced the concluding function as the Chief Guest while Mr. G S Das, CGM (Internal Audit) was the Guest of Honour.  Present on the occasion were Ms. Munmun Mittra, GM In-charge (CSR), Mr. Bivabasu Mallick, GM (CSR), Mr. T B Toppo, AGM (CSR), Zilla Parishad members, Sarpanchs, Local leaders and village elders.

The dignitaries presented the first, second and third prizes to the winners of the dance competitions.

Sahid Baba Tilka Majhi Tola group of Hathibandha village emerged as Champion winning a cash award of Rs. 10,000/- and the Champion trophy. Karma Kala Parishad, Nuagaon village bagged the second prize that consisted of a cash award of Rs. 8,000/- and a trophy. The third prize carrying a cash prize of Rs. 6,000/- and a trophy was presented to Maa Chaala Kala Parishad Dance Group of Bolani village. Consolation prizes of Rs. 2,500/- were also given to each of the remaining participating troupes.

The event was organised by the CSR Department of RSP with the support of Shakti  Self Help Group of Khairbandh  village. Ms. Munmun Mittra welcomed the gathering while Mr. T B Toppo proposed a formal vote of thanks. Mr. B Ekka, Senior Field Assistant (CSR) anchored the event. The event was facilitated by the CSR team of RSP. A large number of villagers from neighbouring areas enjoyed the dance extravaganza.
