Mumbai, 8th December 2024 : Surya Hospitals, Chembur, successfully hosted a Walkathon aimed at promoting healthy living and holistic development among children. The event, which began on Sunday, 8th December, 7:00 a.m. at the hospital premises, extended the spirit of Children’s Day celebrations and encouraged active lifestyles at a time when concerns about sedentary habits and excessive screen time were growing.
The Walkathon raised awareness about the importance of regular physical activity, emphasizing its role in addressing childhood health issues such as obesity, juvenile diabetes, and growth-related concerns. Participants along with their parents enjoyed the route designed for various age groups, ensuring inclusivity and comfort for children of all ages. Families, educators, and community members joined in the initiative, reinforcing the message that physical activity fosters lifelong health and well-being.
