Shri Sukhmal Chand Jain (IRSE, 1988 batch) has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). With over 35 years of experience in railway infrastructure, operations, policy, and safety, Jain holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Pantnagar University and an M.Tech from IIT Delhi. He has served as Divisional Railway Manager in Delhi, Executive Director (Bridges & Works), Principal Chief Engineer of NCR Prayagraj, and Principal Chief Safety Officer of Western Railway. Jain has contributed to bridge research and represented Indian Railways internationally in countries like Japan, Finland, and China.
