BILASPUR. South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) organised the second edition of the SECL Vishwakarma Awards at its headquarters in Bilaspur on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti. A total of 75 regular and contractual workers were honoured for their exemplary contributions in mining, operations, maintenance, supervision and other technical activities.
The event was attended by SECL’s senior management, including Director (HR) Shri Biranchi Das, Director (Technical/Operations) Shri Ramesh Chandra Mohapatra and Director (Technical/Projects & Planning), Additional Charge, Shri Nripendra Nath, along with representatives of trade unions, safety and welfare committees, associations, officers and employees.
A message from Union Minister for Coal and Mines Shri G. Kishan Reddy highlighted the vital role of coal workers in strengthening India’s energy security and nation-building.
As part of Swachhata Hi Seva and Special Campaign 6.0, sanitation workers were also felicitated for their contribution towards maintaining clean and organised workplaces.
SECL is undertaking cleanliness drives, disposal of pending matters, space optimisation, records management and e-waste management across its establishments, reinforcing the message of respect for work, recognition of skills, cleanliness and commitment to national energy security.
