South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL),is set to script history by becoming Indiaโs first coal PSU to implement paste fill technology for underground coal mining.
In a landmark move toward green mining, SECL has inked a ?7040 crore agreement with TMC Mineral Resources Private Limited to execute this cutting-edge project in the Singhali underground coal mine, located in the SECL Korba Area in Chhattisgarh.
Paste fill technology represents a transformative approach in underground mining. Instead of relying on traditional methods that risk surface damage, this method fills mined-out voids with a paste mixture of fly ash, crushed overburden, cement, water, and binding chemicals.
