SECL has successfully recruited 302 Mining Sirdars, issuing posting orders to the candidates who cleared the Mining Sirdar recruitment examination, as announced from the SECL headquarters on March 19, 2025. This recruitment drive, which saw over 8,000 applications for 350 positions, aims to provide employment opportunities to the youth of Chhattisgarh while bolstering the safety and efficiency of mining operations under the Coal Mines Regulations 2017. The Mining Sirdar plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with mining laws and promptly reporting any violations. SECL’s CMD, Shri JP Dwivedi, and Director (Personnel), Shri Biranchi Das, extended their best wishes to the newly appointed candidates, emphasizing the positive impact this initiative will have on both the local community and the mining industry.
