Two SECL mines from the Sohagpur Area were felicitated at the Star Rating Award Ceremony 2025 in Mumbai, with the awards presented by Union Minister of Coal & Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, and Minister of State, Shri Satish Chandra Dubey. The Bangwar UG Mine received the Third Prize, while Khairaha UG Mine was recognized as a 5-Star Achiever, based on ratings for 2023–24. The awards were received by SECL CMD Shri Harish Dhuhan, along with key officials including Shri N. Franklin Jayakumar, Shri Sanjay Singh, and Shri B. Hari Babu, in the presence of Coal Secretary Shri Vikram Dev Dutt and Additional Secretary Smt. Rupinder Brar.
