BILASPUR. SECL Kusmunda area has always been committed to the overall development and social upliftment of the mine-affected neighboring villages. In this regard, on December 16, 2025, the car washing center, constructed under the CSR initiative and operated and maintained by the “Maa Ki Aanchal” Self-Help Group, was inaugurated under the guidance of Shri Sachin Tanaji Patil, General Manager, SECL Kusmunda area.
Taking seriously and sensitively the request made by the mine-affected women of Jatraj village for alternative and sustainable employment, the car washing center was established and necessary resources were provided under the able leadership of the General Manager through the CSR fund. This initiative reflects SECL’s continuous commitment towards women’s empowerment, rural self-reliance, and the socio-economic development of the local community.
On this occasion, senior officers of SECL Kusmunda area, residents of Jatraj village, members of the Maa Ki Aanchal Self-Help Group, and other dignitaries were present. This initiative has become a powerful means of bringing self-reliance, hope, and positive change into the lives of the villagers.
