South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), under its CSR initiatives, has approved ₹53.23 lakh for the establishment of a Women & Child One Stop Centre at Police Line in Umaria, aimed at providing comprehensive support and protection to women and children against violence and exploitation. During a high-level meeting chaired by Shri K.C. Sahu, General Manager of Johilla Area, along with the District Collector and Superintendent of Police, Umaria, the funds were allocated for this vital project. The centre will offer medical aid, legal assistance, psychological counseling, and financial support, with the Superintendent of Police responsible for its implementation and operation. This initiative is a significant step towards strengthening safety, security, and empowerment for women and children in the district, receiving widespread appreciation from officials present.
