SECL Champions Digital Transformation through Special Campaign 4.0 Initiatives

SECL Champions Digital Transformation through Special Campaign 4.0 Initiatives"

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a key subsidiary of Coal India, is making notable progress in its digital transformation efforts as part of Special Campaign 4.0. The initiative emphasizes innovation, inclusivity, and operational efficiency, with SECL implementing numerous digital initiatives designed to optimize processes, improve collaboration, and cultivate a continuous learning culture within the organization. A highlight of this transformation is the CMD Dashboard, a centralized online platform that allows for real-time tracking of various tasks and projects across SECL’s operations, thereby enhancing transparency and collaboration among departments.

Furthering its digital agenda, SECL has revamped its land acquisition procedures through the implementation of the Land Acquisition Management System (LAMS). This advancement simplifies traditionally complex processes and marked Khodri village under the Kusmunda megaproject as one of the first locales to complete a fully digital land acquisition. Additionally, SECL is introducing the Abhimanyu E-learning Platform, which builds on the earlier success of the Abhimanyu E-magazine by providing an online space for employees to engage in knowledge-sharing and skill development.

In line with the focus on citizen-centric operations under Special Campaign 4.0, SECL has enhanced its online grievance redressal mechanisms, achieving a significant milestone of no pending grievances beyond 30 days. Moreover, the development of in-house web applications such as the CSR app, Chirayu app for medical referrals, and the Vidhik app for legal matters reflects SECL’s dedication to creating tailored digital solutions that address the specific needs of its workforce. Collectively, these initiatives are driving SECL’s digital evolution and advancing Coal India’s vision for a digitally empowered future.
