BILASPUR. Coal India’s first fully women-operated medical facility, the Vasant Vihar Dispensary at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), has successfully completed its first year of operations. Managed entirely by a dedicated team of female doctors and healthcare personnel, the dispensary has become a prominent example of women empowerment while providing high-quality medical services to SECL employees and their families.
To mark this milestone, a celebratory event was organized at the facility, featuring a cake-cutting ceremony attended by medical professionals from both the Vasant Vihar Dispensary and the Indira Health Centre.
During the celebration, SECL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Harish Duhan praised the all-women team for demonstrating exceptional capability, leadership, and professionalism over the past twelve months. He highlighted the initiative as a major point of pride for the organization and announced plans to develop the dispensary into a specialized Centre of Excellence in the future. Senior medical officials, including Chief Medical Services Dr. Shruti Dev Mishra and Dispensary In-charge Dr. Nazia Mohammadi, joined the staff in celebrating the anniversary and reaffirming their collective commitment to providing compassionate and excellent healthcare.
