‘Saksham Quiz – 2025’ held for executives of SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant

A preliminary round of SAIL Level Management and Business Quiz (MBQ) – 2025,  ‘Saksham – 2025’ was organised for the executives of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant at the L&D Centre, on 12th May.

In all 30 teams participated in the competition. The preliminary round of the quiz was conducted in two phases. The first one was a written round and the second an oral round.

Six teams qualified for the second round. Out of these, the team comprising Mr. Srimant Kumar Mallick, GM-Tech and Mr. Ricky Agarwal, AGM, both of (DIC-Secretariat) emerged as the winners. The team of Mr. Sampad Mishra, AGM (Coke Ovens) and Mr. Abhishek Ku. Mishra, Assistant Manager, (Blast Furnaces), secured the second position. These two teams would be participating in the SAIL level final round. Mr. S Sreenath, Senior Manager (SMS-1) and Ms. Puspanjali Naik, Senior Manager (Oxygen Plant) secured the third position.

Mr. S. S. Panda, CGM, (Refractories & LDBP) and Mr. Debjit Rabha, GM In-Charge (WMD) were the Quiz Masters. The event was coordinated by Ms. Chaitali Das, GM (HR-L&D), ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all participants.

It may be noted that this annual event is meant to develop the knowledge and awareness of the company’s employees, regarding business developments, new management concepts, business personalities, important issues, history and legacy of SAIL etc.
