SAIL, RSP’s Bolani Ore Mines introduces Mobile Medical Unit to provide free healthcare in remote villages

Under the CSR initiative of SAIL’s Bolani Ore Mines, a free Mobile Medical Service Van was inaugurated to enhance healthcare access for the residents of Bolani and surrounding areas in Keonjhar district. Soren, Bolani Hospital In-charge, Mr. Umesh Kumar Bhaskar, GM, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, AGM and other medical professionals from SAIL Bolani Hospital, including Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Madhumita and Dr. Maya Manjhi were present on the occasion.

The Mobile medical van was put into service as part of the agreement signed by RSP with Piramal Swasthya Management and Research Institute (PMSRI) on 26th October 2024. As per the agreement a ‘Gramin Swasthya Sanjeevani’ i.e. the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) of PMSRI was launched to  extend preventive, curative and referral medical health services at the doorsteps of the villagers completely free of cost. The MMU will carry a doctor, service providing staff along with diagnostic equipment, IT gadgets, medicines and consumables.

The agreement, valued at Rs. 54.40 lakh per year, is for a duration of three years. During this time, monthly health camps will be organized across seven villages in Bolani Gram Panchayat and 11 villages in Palagoda Gram Panchayat, where patients will be examined and medicines would be disbursed free of cost.
