SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on 11th April, 2025, for the supply of Bulk Explosives to SAIL mines.
The Memorandum was signed in the presence of Mr. Anil Kumar, ED (MM) and Mr. M P Singh, ED (Mines). Senior officials from both SAIL and IOCL were present on the occasion. From RSP’s side the Senior Officers present were, Mr. Rajiv Sehgal, CGM(MM), Mr. Samir Kumar Ray, GM(F&A), Mr. M. Sreenivas, GM(MM), Mr. Ajay Shukla, GM(MM), Mr. Gautam S. Gaswami, GM(MM), Mr. M. K. Dash, DGM(MM) and Mr. B. R. Mandal, DGM (MM). From IOCL, the event was attended by Mr. Ajay Gatlewar, GM (Marketing), Mr. Alok Kumar, DGM (Marketing) and Mr. Manish Kumar, Assistant Manager (Marketing).
This collaboration is aimed at ensuring a steady and uninterrupted supply of Bulk Explosives for the next three years, which is critical for the smooth operation of SAIL’s mining activities. The MoC is a step forward in strengthening the supply chain and ensuring timely availability of essential materials for mining operations. The partnership between these two Maharatna PSUs will help in achieving operational excellence and resource security in the mining sector.
