SAIL, RSP donates Van to Home and Hope for facilitating commutating of children with Special needs

SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has donated a Van to Home and Hope a special school for mentally challenged children. At a function organised at Corporate Social Responsibility Department on 30th July, Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (HR) with Additional Charge of ED (Projects) handed over the vehicle for the use of special children to Ms. Padmini Das, Principal (Home and Hope). Present on the occasion were Dr. G S Das, CGM (Projects Commercial), Ms. Munmun Mittra, GM (CSR), Mr. Abakash Mallick, GM In-charge (Transport and FMM) and other Seniors Officers and Staff of CSR Department and Home and Hope. The function was coordinated by Mr. T B Toppo, AGM (CSR) and Mr. A N Pati, AGM (CSR).

SAIL, RSP donates Van to Home and Hope for facilitating commutating of children with Special needs

The van worth Rs. 16.00 lakhs was procured by the Transport Department under CSR Head as a part of Assistive Devices Distribution to the Divyangjans, reiterating RSP’s commitment to social responsibility and inclusivity.

The van would ensure a safe and convenient mode of transportation for the children with special needs, facilitating their daily commute to and from school. It will help in children’s accessibility to education and other essential services.
