Steel Authority of India Limited is proud to announce that it has been recognized as one of India’s Best Employers Among Nation-Builders for 2024 by Great Place To Work Institute India. This prestigious award acknowledges SAIL’s legacy of unwavering commitment to nation-building and the company’s efforts to create a high-trust workplace culture. Earlier, in December 2023, SAIL had secured the ‘Great Place to Work’ certification for December 2023 to December 2024 by the Great Place to Work Institute, India.
SAIL Steel plants in Public Sector were the nation builders during the formative years of an emerging nation after independence. In order to be self- reliant and to lay the infrastructure for rapid industrialization of the country, steel plants were set-up in 50’s and 60’s with large capital outlay. Thereafter, SAIL and steel sector in India have consistently grown to become the 2nd largest steel producing country in the world. In India’s nation building growth story, SAIL holds the pride of place.
Great Place To Work India instituted this momentous award to honor organizations that meet rigorous criteria and are evaluated through an independent assessment. On behalf of SAIL, the award was received by Shri KK Singh, Director (Personnel), SAIL on 19th June in an award ceremony at Mumbai.
