Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is pleased to announce its membership in The Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT), as announced on June 25, 2024, in Visby, Sweden. LeadIT, launched by Sweden and India at the UN Climate Action Summit 2019, focuses on achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Mr. Amarendu Prakash, Chairman, SAIL, stated, “The Indian steel industry must lead in building sustainable infrastructure. Climate change is a survival issue, and only a collaborative global approach can address this challenge. LeadIT is a great platform for collaborative innovation.”
