Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to jointly develop a new fluid designed to reduce moisture content in coke, a critical component in steel production. The MoA was signed by Sandip Kumar Kar, Executive Director (RDCIS), SAIL, and R Udaya Kumar, Executive Director (Lubes), IOCL, in the presence of Birendra Kumar Tiwari, Director-in-Charge (BSL), along with senior officials from both organizations.
This collaboration aims to enhance energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and achieve cost savings in steel production, marking a significant advancement in the synergy between SAIL and IOCL. The initiative underscores both companies’ commitment to supporting India’s sustainable development goals and highlights the role of public sector undertakings in driving innovation and global competitiveness in the industry.
