PATNA. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has floated a tender worth Rs 42.52 crore for the development and upgradation of Saharsa Airport, describing it as a major step towards improving air connectivity in the Kosi region.
Sharing the development on X, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said the project would strengthen air connectivity to Saharsa and adjoining areas.The chief minister said the state government was providing 12 acres of land for the project at an estimated cost of Rs 147 crore.
“12 acres of land is being provided by the state government at a cost of ₹147 crore. This will pave the way for swift air connectivity to the entire Kosi region, including Saharsa,” Choudhary said.
