A Safety Training-cum-Quiz Competition was organised at Steel Melting Shop-I of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 23rd August, 2025. The programme was aimed at spreading awareness and reinforcing safe work practices among the employees and contract workers.
Mr. Sunil Kartha, CGM, SMS-I, presented awards to the winners of the competition comprising three employees and two contract workers. Present on the occasion were Mr. Abakasa Behera, GM, (Safety Engineering Department) and Mr. Celestine Tirkey, GM, (SMS-I). Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kartha congratulated the participants and emphasised the importance of continuous learning and alertness in ensuring a safe workplace.
The programme was coordinated by Mr. Chinmaya Sahoo, Deputy Manager, (Safety).
