As part of the run-up events for the International Women’s Day 2025 celebrations at SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) engaging competitions—“Just a Minute” (JAM) and Antakshari were successfully conducted at the Learning & Development (L&D) Department on 1st March 2025.
The Just a Minute (JAM) competition, held on 28th February, witnessed enthusiastic participation from RSP employees. Participants were given random topics on the spot through a lottery system and had to speak fluently for one minute in English, Hindi, or Odia. The event showcased the participants’ quick thinking, language proficiency, and creativity in expressing their thoughts. Mr. K K Jaiswal, DGM (HR-L&D), Ms. Andrilla Chandra, AGM (Central Cordination – Mines) and Mr. Ashok Jena, Senior Manager (PP&C) were the judges for Hindi, English and Odia respectively. JUDGES
The excitement continued with the Antakshari competition on 1st March, which saw teams of three members, with the mandatory inclusion of at least one female participant, engaging in a series of rounds testing their knowledge of songs. The competition was filled with melodious renditions and spirited performances. Mrs. Tuhina Ranjan, conducted the Antakshari.
