The Reliance Foundation has launched the Reliance Foundation Skilling Academy, in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), to equip India’s youth with skills for future job markets. The platform offers courses tailored for emerging opportunities, focusing on sectors driven by advanced technologies. Aiming to empower over 6,00,000 young Indians within a year, the initiative will also collaborate with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to extend its reach to higher education institutions, supporting the Skill India Mission.
The launch took place during a national conference on “Empowering Youth for the Jobs of the Future,” gathering government, industry, and academia leaders. Key figures included Prof. T.G. Sitharam, AICTE Chairman, and Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC. The event emphasized youth preparedness for tech-driven jobs and equitable access to skilling initiatives.
