REC to extend Rs 20,000 CR credit to Rajasthan for Power Infrastructure

REC has signed MoU with Govt of Rajasthan, Deptt of Finance, to finance projects across power and non power infrastructure for an amount of upto Rs 20,000 crore per annum for a period of six years upto 2030. The MoU was signed on 9th March in Jaipur in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Govt of Rajasthan Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma; Smt Diya Kumari, Dy Chief Minister, GoR; Shri Heera Lal Naagar, MoS Energy, GoR; Sri Sudhansh Pant, Chief Secretary, GoR; Shri Amrit Lal Meena, Secretary Ministry of Coal, GoI; CMD REC, CMD NTPC, CMD Powergrid, CMD NLC India and Director Coal India.

Union Minister of Power, Shri R K Singh addressed the ceremony via virtual conference and conveyed his best wishes for the initiatives being taken by the new Government.Union Minister of Coal Shri Prahlad Joshi, also addressed the ceremony via virtual conference.

MoUs worth 1.6 lakh crore were signed by CPSUs of the Ministry of Power and Ministry of Coal on the occasion.
