REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) formally handed over a project-specific SPV, WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission Limited, to Adani Energy Solutions Limited for the Rs. 1,807.46 crore ISTS transmission project under the TBCB route. Chosen through a competitive bidding process, Adani Energy Solutions Limited will develop the project on a Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis, with an implementation timeline extending until January 1, 2028. The project involves the establishment of a 765/400 kV (2×1500 MVA) substation near South Kalamb, along with the LILO of approximately 89.18 km of the 765 kV Pune-III to Boisar-II line, and other associated works. The handover ceremony was attended by senior officials from RECPDCL, Adani Energy Solutions Limited, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.
