Reaffirming its unwavering commitment to making healthcare accessible to the last mile, REC Limited, through its CSR arm, REC Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Vikas Bharti Bishunpur to strengthen primary healthcare delivery across Jharkhand. The agreement entails a CSR commitment of ₹1.68 crore for the procurement and deployment of three new Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) and their operational expenses for one year. The signing ceremony was attended by Shri Ashok Bhagat, Secretary, Vikas Bharti Bishunpur; Shri Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, REC Limited; and senior officials from REC. The MMUs will act as a lifeline for remote and underserved communities, providing essential doorstep medical services to those with limited access to healthcare facilities.
