REC Limited is launching a residential complex in Gurugram for its employees, with the foundation stone laid by the Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri R. K. Singh, on December 22, 2023.
Singh emphasized REC’s pivotal role in reviving the power sector, transforming it from a state of crisis in 2017 to viability. Stressing the crucial link between system viability and sector growth, the Minister highlighted the need for continued improvements. Singh outlined the necessity for REC and PFC to contribute significantly to sustain the power sector’s growth, as the nation is set to have 239 GW of electricity capacity under construction.
He urged responsible lending by REC, ensuring adherence to prudential norms. Additionally, the Minister celebrated the inauguration of the residential complex as a milestone in REC’s growth, recognizing the significance of providing quality facilities for the well-being of its officers and staff who contribute to the organization’s success. The complex is seen as a catalyst for employee motivation, fostering a conducive environment for growth.
