A dialogue with the leading Advance Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISPs) was organized by REC at its Corporate Office in Gurugram today. The dialogue was chaired by Sh. Vivek Kumar Dewangan, CMD, REC Ltd., in the presence of Sh. V.K. Singh, Director (Projects) and other senior officials of REC.
REC has been designated as the nodal agency for the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) of Ministry of Power, across several states and is providing funding facilities for smart metering, which is a crucial component of the programme. Till date, REC has sanctioned loans to the tune of ₹2,680 crore to private sector AMISPs.
The dialogue was convened to fast-track the scheme and ensure the timely progression of smart metering work by appraising leading AMISPs on the scheme and its key features.
