RAMGARH: Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL), a joint venture between NTPC and the Jharkhand government, has successfully synchronized the second 800 MW unit of its Super Critical Thermal Power Project with the grid.
CEO Shri Ashok Sehgal announced that the team is now focused on achieving full load and completing trial operations to reach early Commercial Operation Date (COD). This milestone follows the commissioning of Unit-1 in November 2025. Developed in collaboration with BHEL, the unit will play a crucial role in meeting the rising energy demands of both Jharkhand and the nation.
Shri Sehgal credited the achievement to the relentless “never-give-up” spirit of the workforce and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Power and the Jharkhand government for their continued support toward the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.
