Following the completion of the festive celebrations, the Public Health Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has launched a large-scale post-Puja cleanliness drive at various Puja pandals within the steel township to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment.
During the festive season, many areas around the Puja pandals were littered with plastic waste and other pollutants. To address this, the periphery areas of several Puja pandals, including those in Sector 1, 2, 4, 5, 8 and 9 have already been cleaned, while the others will be cleaned shortly. The drive included the removal of debris, sweeping of streets, and disposal of waste to maintain a clean and attractive environment post Puja.
The entire drive was undertaken by the Public Health Department in co-ordination with Town Engineering Department of RSP.
