POWERGRID has successfully charged the 400 kV Maharani Bagh–Narela Multi-Circuit Transmission Line, marking a significant step toward strengthening the power transmission network in Delhi NCR. The new line is expected to enhance system reliability and support uninterrupted electricity supply across the region.
The milestone event was attended by Rajeev Verma, Chief Secretary, Government of NCT of Delhi, along with Dr. R. K. Tyagi, CMD, POWERGRID; G. Ravisankar, Director (Finance); Naveen Srivastava, Director (Operations); Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Director (Projects); and Alok Kumar Sharma, Executive Director, NR-I, among other senior officials.
This achievement reaffirms POWERGRID’s commitment to building robust, future-ready transmission infrastructure and advancing India’s energy transformation.
